Amit Shah addressed a public meeting in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh on January 19.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday inaugurated the southern campus of the National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) and the 10th battalion campus of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), among other projects, near Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh.

During this, he said in a public meeting that when any disaster is sent by God, NDRF comes for help. When a man made disaster occurs, NDA comes to help. He said that after Maharashtra and Haryana, NDA will form the government in Delhi in 2025.

Shah said that Andhra Pradesh has the full support of the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Center has approved projects worth more than Rs 3 lakh crore for the state in just 6 months. Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan and Union Minister K Ram Mohan Naidu were also present in the program.

  1. Shah said that PM Modi has ensured Rs 27 thousand crore for the development of the capital Amravati through HUDCO and World Bank.
  2. Taking a dig at the previous Jagan Reddy government, the Union Minister asked the people of Andhra Pradesh not to pay attention to the last 5 wasted years. He said that CM Naidu and PM Modi will work together afresh for the development of the state.
  3. Regarding NDRF, the Home Minister said that today India has emerged as a global leader in disaster management and the country is leading the world in the field of disaster management.

PM Modi also came to Andhra 10 days ago On January 8, PM Modi also visited Andhra Pradesh. He virtually laid the foundation stone and inaugurated projects worth Rs 1.85 lakh crore. The PM also laid the foundation stone of the Green Hydrogen Hub project being built in Pudimadka.

The PM had told that under the development projects, 25 industrial manufacturing units will be constructed in 300 acres. Apart from this, the foundation stone of projects like roads, industrial centre, port and chemical storage was also laid.

BJP, TDP and Janasena coalition government in Andhra Pradesh In Andhra Pradesh, TDP and Janasena, part of the NDA alliance, have formed the government together. In 2024, out of total 175 seats in the state, TDP won 135, Janasena Party won 21 and BJP won 8. The majority figure is 88.
