30 thousand soldiers of the Indian Army have been given SAMBHAV 5G smartphones. This smartphone is quite different from ordinary phones. This secure phone was used in the talks held on the border of India and China in October last year. This information has been given by Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi himself. According to the report, army soldiers use this ‘Sambhaw’ smartphone for secure communication. Last year, the Army had started the project of this blockchain based smartphone so that the soldiers could be provided smartphones with secure features.

According to ANI report, SAMBHAV smartphone has been designed with many features. These smartphones work on end-to-end secure mobile ecosystem, with the help of which communication remains secure. Also, advanced 5G technology has been used in it, which provides instant connectivity. Full encryption is used in this phone for enhanced security. It has been designed in such a way that there is no need to save contact numbers. The contacts of army officers are already present in the phone.

M-Sigma app like WhatsApp has been provided in this smartphone, with the help of which soldiers can send secure messages as well as make video calls. Not only this, files, documents and files etc. can be shared securely. These smartphones will be used by the Army for internal use. These work on the 5G network of Airtel and Jio so that internal documents do not leak into the public domain.
An Army officer says that smartphones have become a necessity for everyone these days. At the same time, there is an equal risk of personal information being leaked through them.
