An army truck fell into a ditch in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday afternoon. Two soldiers died in the accident. 3 soldiers are seriously injured. He has been admitted to a nearby hospital.
Officials said the accident took place in SK Payeen area of the district. Here the truck slipped from the road and fell into the ditch. Rescue operation is going on. The details of the incident can be released by the Army spokesperson after some time.
Earlier on December 24, an army van in Poonch district had fallen into a 350 feet deep gorge. There were 18 soldiers in the van. Of these, 5 had died. All the soldiers involved in the accident belonged to 11 Maratha Regiment.
The Army said that there were 6 vehicles in the convoy, which were going towards Banoi area via the operational track near Poonch district. Meanwhile, the driver of a vehicle lost control and the van fell into a ditch.
