Assam government approves investment proposals of Rs 1.22 lakh crore – India tv hindi

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma has said that the Assam Cabinet approved investment proposals of Rs 1.22 lakh crore on Sunday ahead of the second version of the state’s business summit. Addressing reporters after the meeting of the Council of Ministers, Sharma said that it has been decided that all the consent letters to be signed during the ‘Advantage Assam-2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit’ will be done ‘properly’ by the cabinet and then they Will be approved. He said that in a meeting chaired by the Chief Minister, the cabinet rejected an MoU of Rs 45,000 crore, as they were found on ‘weak basis’.

PM will inaugurate on 25 February

He said, “We do not want to create unnecessary enthusiasm among people, we want to be appropriate and rational.” He said on the cabinet that all proposals were considered before approval. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the two -day ‘Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit’ on 25 February. The program is expected to attend the top industrialists of India as well as ambassadors from around 60 countries and business delegations from many countries. Sharma said, “The cabinet today approved an MoU of Rs 1.22 lakh crore and detailed information about them will be shared during the summit. We had decided that there would be no MoU in the pig rearing field. Apart from this, MoUs have been approved in various fields from handloom and cloth to electricity, industries and mines and minerals. ”

There will be investment in 4 segments

He said that apart from the sanctioned settlement memorandum, some companies are expected to announce investment during the summit. Sharma said that compromise memorandum and investments to be declared through the summit can be broadly classified in four segments- investment announcements, announcements for infrastructure, financial compromise memorandum and non-financial compromise memorandum. He said that some of these investment announcements would be made by the government sector, some by public sector undertakings and some by private parties as well. With the final form of investment proposals at the summit, compromise memorandum will be signed for investing up to Rs 50 crore in the offices of District Commissioners (DC) during this huge program lasting two days. Sharma said that during the conference, a total of 2,590 such consent letters with investment proposals between five lakh and Rs 50 crore have been confirmed to be signed in the districts. He informed that a total investment of Rs 15,911 crore is proposed in these consent papers.
