Gwalior Chambal is notorious in terms of regional adulteration. Gwalior does not produce mawa and cheese, but adulteration is connected to Morena and Bhind. Milk and paneer comes from Morena, while Bhind supplies mawa.

Checking points being tested samples

  • The adulterants have started their supply from small and big trains to public transport vehicles. The Food Safety Department claims that along with taking samples, investigation is being sent to the state lab Bhopal at various checking points.
  • Despite this claim of the department, adulteration has been active and prepared to supply adulterated mawa and cheese on the festival of Holi.

150 sample investigation report has not come yet

It is taking two to three months to come to the investigation report due to non -investigation of Numne. Adulterants are getting time to escape from this. The Food Safety Department team had taken samples from various establishments in January and February to send Bhopal lab for investigation, but their report has not yet been received by the department. It is said that the state lab has more than 150 samples pedding.

Food lab could not start in six years

  • Gwalior-Chambal claims to have a special campaign every year, but the food laboratory is kept silent. The foundation stone of the food laboratory was laid on Huravali six years ago.
  • The lab building is ready, the equipment has also reached here, but the lab could not start yet, while the lab was to start by the year 2022. Even after the deadline is over, the lab is awaited. Due to non -commencement of the lab, samples have to be sent to Bhopal Lab for investigation.

240 kg mawa caught going to Tikamgarh

  • The Food Safety Department team reached Phulbagh Maidan intersection on the information of transportation of Mawa from the tourist vehicle. Food Safety Officers Rajesh Kumar Gupta and Nirupama Sharma seized the mawa from the Om Sai Tourist vehicle here.
  • The driver said that Dinesh Sahu resident was taking Mawa to Tikamgarh. 240 kg mawa was loaded from Devanand Narwaria Sai Mawa Bhandar Danaoli. Urea, detergent and starch were not found after checking the seized Mawa from the mobile food lab, but two samples of Mawa were taken on the possibility of lack of SNF and fats.
  • The mawa of 66 thousand 200 rupees was seized. Mawa owner Devanand Narwaria, who was present on the occasion, told Mawa to bring Mawa from Bhind, but he could not present the document.

Samples taken from these establishments

  • Along with this, Food Safety Officer Satish Kumar Sharma took sample of Rasgulla from Bharm Dairy and Sweets Dal Bazaar, samples of Sonpapadi from Jai Bholenath Mishthan Bhandar. Food Safety Officer Brijesh Kumar Shiromani took samples of Sonpapadi and Petha from Aggarwal Sweets Kampu.
  • Food Safety Officer Govind Narayan Sargainya inspected the Paramanananda Sweets Kampu Tiraha and took samples of Mawa Barfi and Maida. Food Safety Officer Satish Dhakad took samples of salty and chaat crust from Gopal Udyog Dal Bazaar. Food Safety Officer Rajesh Kumar Gupta sampled milk from Jai Bajrang Dairy Huravali Tiraha and milk from Saraswati Dairy Balbant Nagar.
