Aus vs Ind: “Gavaskar is doing all this against our team because of this”, now former Kangaroo pacer Johnson hits back at Sunny

New Delhi:

Australia vs India 2nd Test: After Indian legend Sunil Gavaskar’s reaction to the statement of former Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood on the third day of the Perth Test, now another former Australian cricketer Mitchell Johnson has hit back at Sunny. Johnson has accused Gavaskar of distracting the Australian team and causing disruption and using Hazlewood’s statement to benefit Team India. By the way, this statement of Johnson is very and very surprising because for the last several decades, the Australian team has been waging the same “word-war” against the opposing team on and off the field. In fact, the Kangaroo team is considered to be the originator of this culture. In such a situation, it is better that Johnson should first look in the mirror and then look at the stone.

In fact, Kangaroo pacer Josh Hazlewood, who was ruled out of the second Test after the Perth Test against India due to injury, had given a very interesting statement. Hejluvad made this comment after the third day of the first Test on the question, what can the hosts do to make a comeback in the five-Test series? Then the star pacer had said, “You probably had to ask this question to one batsman. I am looking at all the batsmen in the next Test.” And when Hazlewood made this statement, former cricketers took this statement in their own different ways. Now it is also being believed that Hazlewood is not injured, but he has been criticized in the second test because of this statement.

However, now former Kangaroo cricketer Mitchell Johnson hit back and said, “Gavaskar is using the media platform to distract, create disruption and anger the Kangaroo team.” The former pacer wrote in the column, “I have enjoyed working with Gavaskar in the past. And I have learned a lot from him by sitting and talking about the game and listening to him.”

Johnson said, “Gavaskar is using the media platform to divert attention, cause disruption and outrage. He took full advantage of Hazlewood’s statement. It is Gavaskar’s job to comment. What he sees, he speaks about it. “But Sunny used Hazlewood’s statement to benefit India. There was no other purpose.”

Earlier, on Hazlewood’s statement, former veteran Adam Gilchrist had said on Fox Sports, “I am surprised and do not think there is any rift between the batsmen and the bowlers.” On one hand, former Kangaroo cricketer was defending Hazlewood’s statement, while on the other hand, Indian legend Sunil Gavaskar seized this statement and hit back strongly at the host team.

Gavaskar had said in a column written in a magazine, “There is nervousness in the Australian camp. While former cricketers are talking about changes in the team, this also came to light from Hazlewood’s statement after the third day of the first Test. That there is a rift in the Kangaroo team. In the same match, Hazlewood had said that now it is the responsibility of the batsmen to do something.
