More than 3500 claims were made under the scheme in 956 days. 3800 angioplasty and angiography were done. The government lawyer said in the court that all the operations in the hospital were done on the instructions of Karthik.

Police presented 7 points in the court
1. Karthik Patel is the main conspirator in the case of fake operation and claim.
2. Share of the accused in the claims in his hospital. The transaction is under investigation.
3. Doctors in and around Ahmedabad were paid, they used to refer patients to Karthik’s hospital.
4. Investigation is being done whether PMJAY scheme officials were involved, whether Karthik used to give gifts or bribes to them.
5. Those who did not have Ayushman cards, their Ayushman cards were made fraudulently. Who was involved, investigation is underway.
6. Investigation is being done as to where the amount of more than Rs 16 crore received under Ayushman Yojana went.
7. Who made the arrangements for the accused’s stay abroad is being investigated.
The accused said – no remand is needed to check the transaction Kartik Patel’s lawyer told the court that the financial transactions in this case have to be investigated. There is no need for remand for this. Many patients got free operations in Karthik’s hospital, if they wanted to earn money then why would they do this. They had organized camps to promote the government scheme.
Kartik went to Dubai after Australia and New Zealand According to the police, Karthik went to Australia on 3 November and then to New Zealand on 11 November. After this he went to Dubai. He returned to India from there on Saturday night. The crime branch arrested Karthik from the airport and informed his family, but no one came to see him. He had a T-shirt, a pair of pants, a pair of slippers and a new phone. Karthik told the police that his old phone was lost in Australia.
Was booking ticket from Dubai to Ahmedabad for 10 days. To mislead the police, Karthik was booking flights from Dubai to Ahmedabad for the last 10 days, but did not travel. Karthik, who committed a scam worth crores, had come to India from Dubai in economy class. Police said that he also has a green card of America.
