The subject of the film may seem emotional, but the weak story has not been able to bring anything emotional on the screen. The matter has remained outdated. Story: Talking about the story of the film, it is a story before independence. The villages around Bundelkhand have been described as the basis of the story. The villagers are suffering from the atrocities of the British, the landlords are also involved in the atrocities of the British. The people of the villages are being forced and sent abroad for labour. Unperturbed by this situation, Govind (Aman Devgan), who is working in the stable of the landlord, is looking for a horse like Chetak for himself after listening to his grandmother’s stories. There is also a relationship between this poor stable boy and Janaki (Rasha), the daughter of a rich landlord (Piyush Mishra), which usually happens between the hero and heroine in every other Hindi film. While all this is going on, Govind meets rebel Vikram Singh’s (Ajay Devgan) horse Azad. He sees a glimpse of his Chetak in it, but apart from Vikram Singh, Azad does not allow anyone to ride him. He considers Vikram Singh as his leader. In such a situation, how does the story reach such a turning point. When Govind becomes its leader in place of Vikram Singh and with the help of Azad, he frees the entire villagers from the oppression of the landlords and the British. How does all this happen? This is the story ahead.
Advantages and disadvantages of the film
The emotional story between animals and humans is the subject of the film, but the story and screenplay have not been able to bring this emotional concept strongly on screen. The reason for this is weak writing. The writing of the film has remained superficial. The story of bonding between animals and humans goes into Lagaan mode in the climax. How did the villagers, who were afraid of even thinking of going against the landlord and the British, get so much courage that they would fight against the landlord in Govind’s race in the Ardh Kumbh? Leave aside the matter of joining. This aspect has also not been added to the story properly. The film has not been able to establish the era of 1920. The film ignores the nuances related to it. Ajay Devgan’s track is good, his presence strengthens the film, but why Thakur Vikram Singh does not get the support of the villagers. The writing team did not feel the need to work on this also. The tracks of Diana, Ajay Devgan and Mohit Mallik have been left half-baked in the story. After Ajay Devgan, Azad is the only face in the film whose scenes are affected. Let’s leave. The songs and music of the film have been made well and the choreography associated with it also deserves praise. The cinematography of the film does justice to the theme, while the dialogues have been made well.
Good effort by budding artists
Talking about acting, actress Raveena Tandon’s daughter Rasha and Ajay Devgan’s nephew Aman Devgan have made their debut in Hindi films with this film. For the first film, Rasha has acted well. She looks very cute in the film. His performance in the item song was worth watching, however, there is no denying that he needs to work more on himself. Aman Devgan’s hard work for his character is visible. He is confident. Looks great. He is a good dancer. He and himself will have to work on intense scenes. Diana Penty and Ajay Devgan have done justice to their roles. Mohit Mallik, Piyush Mishra and other characters are also doing well.
