Bageshwari Dham is a place where neither there is much number of tourists nor the distance of this place is much and going there also gives relief. So what are you waiting for, plan a holiday with friends or family members.

10 km away from Mangalia
This beautiful place is situated about 10 kilometers away from Mangalia. To reach this place you will have to proceed on the road connecting Mangalia to Saver. The good thing about reaching this Dham built on a small hill is that it can be reached by one’s own vehicle also.
The stairs are built on a platform
If you are fond of walking and want a little adventure in this journey, then there are stairs leading to Tekari from the side of the road. You can also go up via these stairs by parking your car on the roadside.
There is also a connection with history
There is no evidence of the date on which this temple was established, but it is said that this temple was renovated by Ahilyabai Holkar and even today the statue of Ahilyabai holding Shivling in her hand is installed here.
Well, this temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga and as per the name, there are many lion statues outside the temple. The lion statue of Goddess Durga is installed in the sanctum sanctorum. Apart from this, idols of Shiva family and idol of Hanumanji are also installed here.
This small temple is special in itself because there is a lot of peace here. There is also a Yagyashala outside the temple, where Havan is performed during Navratri. Besides, there is also a cowshed here, which houses hundreds of cows.
The place is suitable for children also
As far as entertainment is concerned, if children are going with you, they will also like it here because there are some swings of their choice installed here. There is a large open field outside the temple and a small forest nearby. There is no danger of any predatory animal in this forest.
Peacocks and rabbits are seen here, which further increases the pleasure of the journey. A special event is organized here on Guru Purnima in which a huge Bhandara is also organized along with Guru Puja. Even during Navratri, there is a constant flow of devotees here.
You can enjoy picnic
Ashok Golane of Youth Hostel Association says that if you want to have a picnic here then you can take food with you or you can take advantage of the kitchen facilities here and prepare food etc.
If someone wants to eat food in a hotel or dhaba, then the dhaba-restaurants situated on the way are a better option for him. Those who enjoy trekking can climb the stairs to reach the temple and those who are interested in sports can fulfill their interest in the grounds here.
If you want to enjoy the natural views, then that wish is also fulfilled here because the temple is built on a hill and the views are clearly visible far and wide. Just try to ensure that there is no pollution here.
