Indian Cricket Team: BCCI issued 10 new rules regarding players.
The Indian team had to face a 3-1 defeat in the 5-match Test series on the tour of Australia, after which news was continuously coming out about the form of many players and their indiscipline. After reviewing the poor performance of the team on this tour, BCCI has now taken a strict decision and implemented 10 new rules. In this, while it has been made mandatory for all the players to play domestic cricket, no player will be able to take his personal staff with him on foreign tours. BCCI has also made it clear regarding these new rules that if any player does not follow these instructions then he will have to face disciplinary action. This includes everything from reduction in their central contract fees to a ban on playing in the IPL.
BCCI has implemented these 10 new rules regarding players (Indian men’s team)
Wife or family will now be allowed to stay only for 2 weeks on foreign tours
During the foreign tours of the Indian team, the family or wife of the players will be allowed to stay with the team for only 2 weeks. Apart from this, there will be no exemption to take personal staff along. These rules will apply to players as well as everyone involved in the coaches and support staff. Apart from this, no player will be allowed to travel separately with his family during the tours. Along with the practice session, he will also accompany the team from the hotel to the stadium on the match day. If any player wants exemption from this, he will have to take approval from the chairman of the selection committee and the head coach.
It is mandatory for all players to play in domestic matches
According to the new guidelines of BCCI, it will be mandatory for players to participate in domestic matches for selection in the national team and to remain in the central contract. With this, all the players will be able to maintain their match fitness and also strengthen their game. Apart from this, young players will also get a chance to learn a lot from him. Exemption from this rule will be available only in some special reasons, for which approval will have to be taken from the head coach and the chairman of the selection committee.
All players will have to remain in the practice session
Now all players will have to stay for the entire duration of the scheduled practice session in the practice session. Under this rule, no player can leave the field after completing his practice.
There will be no exemption for carrying extra luggage.
Now all players will not be allowed to carry extra luggage in foreign tours and series in the country, in which they will have to follow the limit set by BCCI. If a player carries extra luggage, he will have to bear his own expenses.
Ban imposed on taking personal staff
There were reports regarding some players of Team India that they carry their personal staff with them, now BCCI has completely banned this, in which they have banned them from taking personal managers, chefs, assistants and personal security personnel. Completely banned.
Players will have to inform the team management before sending anything to the Center of Excellence.
Players will now have to send separate bags to the Center of Excellence in Bengaluru or inform the team management before sending any equipment and personal items. Any additional costs incurred due to different arrangements will be the responsibility of the player.
Players will not be able to shoot advertisements during the series
Now no player of the Indian team will be able to shoot advertisements during any series. BCCI has made it clear regarding this also with its new rule. This rule has been implemented keeping in mind the players’ focus only on that series or tour.
Family Travel Plan Policy
A family travel plan policy has been implemented for players to ensure a balance between player and team commitments.
It is mandatory to attend BCCI official events
Now it will be mandatory for all players to participate in official shoots and events of BCCI. These partnerships are essential to maintaining BCCI’s commitments to stakeholders and promoting the game effectively.
Players will be allowed to return home only after the series ends
Now, under the new rules, no player will be allowed to return home early after the end of a match or series, they will have to return after the tour is over, even if the match ends before the scheduled time.
