BCCI Baggage policy: The Board of Control for Cricket in India on Thursday made 10 rules to promote ‘discipline and unity’ in the national team. In this, it has been made mandatory to play in domestic cricket, restrictions have been imposed on the presence of family and personal staff on the tour, ban on personal advertising during the series, etc. many other measures have been taken. Players not following this policy will be fined, which may include deducting their retainer fees from the central contract and being banned from participating in the IPL.
These instructions have been announced after the poor performance of Team India in the Australian tour. Before Australia, India had to face a 0-3 defeat in the three-match Test series against New Zealand at home. India’s dream of reaching the final of the ICC Test Championship was shattered by the defeat in Australia. After this it was believed that the board would take strict action regarding things.
The board’s policy states, “Any exceptions or deviations from this must be pre-approved by the Chairman of the Selection Committee and the Head Coach. Failure to comply with the same may result in disciplinary action as deemed appropriate by the BCCI.”
“Further, the BCCI reserves the right to take disciplinary action against any player, including barring the player from participating in all tournaments conducted by the BCCI, including the IPL, and deducting the BCCI from retaining any retainer money or match fees under its player contract,” the policy warned. “May involve making cuts.”
According to the new guidelines issued by BCCI, the board will no longer bear the ‘load’ of the players. The board has changed its baggage policy. Now the baggage rules will be different for foreign tours and series taking place on domestic soil.
Badge policy changed
According to the new badge policy made by the Board, if a player carries luggage as per the rules made by the Board, then he will not have to pay any expense for it, but if it is not so, then the players will have to pay for their extra weight themselves. Will have to pay.
These are the new rules
Long term foreign tours (more than 30 days):
Players – 5 bags (3 suitcases + 2 kit bags) or 150 kg maximum total weight.
Support Staff- 2 bags (2 large + 1 small suitcase) or 80 kg maximum total weight.
Short term foreign tours (less than 30 days):
Players – 4 bags (2 suitcases + 2 kit bags) or up to 120 kg.
Support staff- 2 pieces (2 suitcases) or up to 60 kg.
