Sachin Tendulkar has scored 100 centuries for India.
BCCI is going to give Life Time Award to Sachin Tendulkar. Tendulkar will be given this award on Saturday, February 1 in the Annual Ceremony ‘Naman’ in the head office of BCCI. A board official has confirmed this from PTI. He said- Yes, he (Sachin Tendulkar) will be given the CK Nidu Life Time Achievement Award.
51 -year -old Tendulkar will be the 31st cricketer to receive this award. Apart from him, fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah will be given the BCCI Poly Umrigar Award for the Best International Cricketer of 2023-24, while Smriti Mandhana will get the award in the Women’s category.

Why Tendulkar Award?
Tendulkar, who was called the greatest batsman of his era, was known for scoring runs easily in every situation. He made a Test debut against Pakistan in 1989 at the age of 16 and in the next 20 years he scored runs against bowlers from all over the world. He also holds a record of scoring 100 centuries by including Tests and ODIs. Tendulkar was a prominent member of India’s 2011 World Cup winning team. This was his record sixth and last World Cup.

Best Player of Bumrah 2024
Bumrah was elected by the ICC before BCCI, the best cricketer of Test and Overall year by the ICC. He performed brilliantly for India last year and played an important role in India’s domestic series win against England and Bangladesh. The 31-year-old fast bowler took 32 wickets in 5 Tests against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Mandhana scored 747 runs last year
Mandhana received the award for the best female ODI cricketer of the year in women’s cricket. He scored 747 runs in the year 2024. Mandhana scored four ODI centuries last year, which is a record of the highest century in women’s format in a year. He hit 95 fours and 6 sixes last year. Mandhana scored an average of 57.86 in ODIs in 2024 and a strike rate of 95.15.

BCCI launched the award in 1994 in honor of India’s first captain Colonel CK Naidu. Naidu has a 47 -year -long first class career between 1916 and 1963. This is a world record. Naidu also served the game as an administrator.
