Jewelery worth more than Rs 12 lakh was looted from a jewelery showroom in Mangolpuri area of Delhi on Sunday. Police said that 8 robbers had entered the showroom with sharp weapons. The dacoits also tried to loot nearby shops. But the shopkeepers threw red chilli powder in his eyes. After this the robbers fled from the spot. Police said that CCTVs installed in the shops and the area are being scanned to identify the accused.

Fire breaks out in chemical factory in Raigad, Maharashtra, no injuries reported
A fire broke out in a chemical factory located in a village in Raigad district of Maharashtra. There is no news of anyone being injured in the incident. There is too much fire. Many fire brigade vehicles are on the spot. In this factory, raw material is prepared for making cosmetic products. As soon as information about the fire was received, police and administration were also present on the spot.
NIA raids the house of the accused arrested in Laos human trafficking case; Mobile, debit cards of several banks, passbooks and checkbooks seized.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is probing the Laos human trafficking and cyber slavery network, on Saturday searched the house of the recently arrested accused in South Delhi’s Jamia Nagar.
During the search, several incriminating documents including digital devices (mobile phones or tablets) and debit cards, passbooks and checkbooks of various banks were seized.
The case pertains to Kamran Haider, who was engaged in sending vulnerable Indian youth to the Golden Triangle region of Laos People’s Democratic Republic (Laos PDR).
Victims of human trafficking and cyber slavery rackets were forced to commit cyber scams in Laos targeting European and US citizens.
Agniveer found dead in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir, cause of death not known
The body of an Agniveer posted in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir was found in suspicious circumstances. According to sources, the sound of firing was heard at the place of posting of the soldier. On reaching there a soldier was found soaked in blood.
This soldier, a resident of Rajasthan, was taken to the hospital, but the doctors declared him dead. The circumstances under which he died are being investigated.
Drone seen flying over Jagannath temple in Puri, police started investigation
A drone was seen flying over the Jagannath temple in Puri, Odisha for about 30 minutes. After this, there is concern among the officials about the security of the temple. The temple area has been declared a no-flying zone. Officials said that the drone was seen flying over the temple around 4.10 am. Police said that different teams have been formed to investigate the case.
Odisha Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan said that flying drones over the temple is illegal. Strict legal action will be taken against the person who violates security. Puri SP has formed teams and started investigating the incident. I hope that the person concerned will be identified and the drone will be confiscated.
Harichandan said that to prevent such incidents in future, the temple is planning to deploy 24/7 police personnel at watch towers around the campus. He said that there is a suspicion that some vlogger might have flown a drone over the temple.

Government of India started 2 special category visas for international students
The government has introduced two special categories of visas for international students wishing to pursue higher education in Indian Educational Institutes. For e-Student Visa and e-Student-X Visa offered by the Ministry of Home Affairs, one will have to use the Study in India (SII) portal. E-Student Visa can be availed by students registered on the portal, while E-Student-X Visa is given to the dependents of those holding e-Student Visa.

Telangana farmers will get ₹ 12 thousand per acre annually, scheme will start from January 26
The Telangana government increased the amount given to farmers per acre of land under the Rythu Bharosa scheme to Rs 12,000. Apart from this, families of landless farm laborers will also get the same amount annually under the newly launched scheme Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa Yojana.
After the cabinet meeting on Saturday, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that those who do not have ration cards will be given new ration cards. All these schemes will start from January 26.
