Home Ministry sought approval from President to run a case against AAP leader Satyendra Jain
The Ministry of Home Affairs has sought approval from the President to run a money laundering case against AAP leader and former Delhi minister Satyendra Jain. The Ministry has sought approval on the basis of investigation of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and “adequate evidence”. A money laundering case was registered against Satyendra Jain in 2017. The CBI had registered an FIR for possessing disproportionate assets. He was arrested in May 2022. He is currently out on bail.
UPSC fraud case- Ban on arrest of former IAS Trainee Pooja Khedkar increased till March 17
The Supreme Court on Friday extended the ban on the arrest of former trainee IAS Pooja Khedkar till March 17. Pooja is accused of cheating the Civil Services Examination and taking wrong benefits of OBC and disability quota. A bench of Justice BV Nagratna and Satish Chandra Sharma directed Khedkar to cooperate in the investigation.
