One person was killed and 4 people were injured when a blast in a steamer at a cafe at a cafe on Thursday evening in Kochi, Kerala. Police Inspector Rupesh KR of Palarivattom Police Station said that at around 4:30 pm, there was an explosion in the steamer at Edeli Cafe in Kalur.

Student threatened bomb blasts for not going to school in Noida, police detained

West Bengal received investment proposals worth Rs 4.40 lakh crore in Business Summit-2024

He said- Our focus has made significant progress on infrastructure, industry and social welfare. In the business summit held in 2023, an investment of Rs 3.76 lakh crore was received in the state. In the last 7 Business Summit, the state has got an investment of Rs 19 lakh crore, out of which the work of Rs 13 lakh crore has already been completed.
UGC issued a show cause notice to 18 medical colleges for not following anti-coagling rules
The University Grants Commission (UGC) on Thursday issued a show cause notice to 18 medical colleges for not following anti-coagling rules.
Defaulter colleges include two colleges in Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Assam and Puducherry. At the same time, notices have been given to three-three colleges in Andhra Pradesh and Bihar and one college each in Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh.
UGC Secretary Manish Joshi said, “These colleges did not properly follow and failed to properly and fail to prevent the risk of ragging.”
Delhi High Court granted bail to the rape accused for not having written basis for arrest

Security forces chased more than 23 km trucks. To stop the vehicle, the soldiers fired on his tires, allowing him to stay at Sangrama Chowk. The injured driver was taken to GMC Baramulla, where he was later declared dead.
