In 2024, a new chapter has been added in this journey of horror comedy – Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3which has once again become a part of this famous franchise. Producer T-Series and director Anees Bazmee have tried to give an interesting experience to the audience this time, but was it really successful? Let us know about this film in detail.
summary of the story
The story of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 begins with a haunted palace, which is located in Raktoghat, Bengal. Here a girl is dancing on the song “Aami Je Tomar”, when the king and his soldiers burn her to death. After this, the story moves forward 200 years, where Rooh Baba (Karthik Aryan) is introduced, who is committing fraud in the name of exorcising ghosts. The film sees the entry of a royal descendant named Meera (Tripti Dimri), who seeks help from Rooh Baba as her family needs freedom from the creepy spirit of Manjulika.
Vidya Balan, who plays Manjulika, also has an important contribution in the film, and Madhuri Dixit also joins the story after the interval. However, the story moves sluggishly in the first half and fails to hold the audience.
First half: full of boredom
The first half of the film is very weak. Many viewers may get bored if the story takes a little longer. The lack of enthusiasm in the dialogues and the slow pace of the plot tests the patience of the audience. Anees Bazmee’s comedy style has also lost its influence this time. At many places the dialogues seem dull in a deliberate attempt to make one laugh.
Second half: some pace, some entertainment
However, after the interval the story picks up a bit. A new twist and emotional climax keeps the audience engaged till the end. Even if the film does not answer many questions, the audience is not disappointed in watching it. But one thing is clear that the earlier magic has been lost somewhere in this franchise.
the art of acting
Talking about the lead actors of the film, Kartik Aryan has brought alive his past character in the role of Rooh Baba. Vidya Balan has used her experience in the character of Manjulika, which has given her a different colour. Madhuri Dixit’s mature acting also provides a base to this film. The dance sequences of both the actresses are the biggest attraction of the film.
However, Trupti Dimri’s role was quite limited and she had nothing much to do. Even veteran actors like Sanjay Mishra and Rajpal Yadav are unable to leave much of an impact in the film.
technical aspects
The cinematography of the film has done justice to the theme, but the VFX looked weak at times in enhancing the horror elements. The music also becomes memorable only for the songs “Aami Je Tomar” and “Hare Ram Hare Krishna”, while the other songs do not hold much appeal.
maze 3 was watched with anticipation, but it ultimately turned out to be an average film. Due to weak story, over-the-top comedy and clichéd dialogues, this film does not live up to the expectations of the audience. So, if you are looking for a good horror comedy, then this film is probably not the right choice for you.
The magic that this Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise had spread in its first two parts has been lost somewhere this time. The audience is now forced to think whether this film is actually worth watching or it is better to ignore it.
Are you going to watch Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3?
maze 3 This proves once again that the magic of horror comedy may not always be successful. However, if you are a fan of Kartik Aryan, Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit, then it is a must watch. But believe me, you may be a little disappointed with the story and entertainment level of the film.
