BJP had promised the price of paddy and wheat
During the assembly elections, the BJP had promised farmers to buy wheat for Rs 2,700 and paddy at the rate of Rs 3,100 per quintal. It was also mentioned in the resolution letter.
When the procurement of wheat started and the bonus was not announced, the Congress accused the government of promise. Later, the government decided to give a bonus of Rs 125 per quintal.
Incentive to farmers per hectare
In December 2024, the state government decided that instead of giving bonuses to paddy producing farmers, an incentive amount would be given per hectare. It will be two thousand rupees per hectare. The Agriculture Department has prepared the scheme as per the announcement of the Chief Minister.
More and more farmers get the benefit of the scheme, so all the farmers with small, marginal and large holdings will be included in it. However, the maximum limit will be kept in it i.e. farmers will get benefit up to five hectares.
Paddy sowing was done in 38.86 lakh hectares
In the state this year, farmers sown paddy in 38.86 lakh hectares. The government has bought 43 lakh 47 thousand 206 tonnes of paddy from six lakh 368 thousand 654 farmers at the minimum support price. Due to the low price in the market, a large number of farmers have also stopped the produce.

Registration for selling wheat on support price till 31 March
Bhopal : Registration of farmers to sell wheat at minimum support price in the state will be till 31 March. So far 28 thousand 677 farmers have registered. The produce will be purchased from the farmers registered at the procurement centers. These will be paid to the banks links link to the payment Aadhaar.
To ensure that there is no delay in this, complete information is being taken from farmers from Aadhaar number to bank accounts. This time the central government has declared the minimum support price of wheat Rs 2,425. This is 150 rupees more than the previous year.
