Now the Bihar government is going one step further and is doing less to create a manufacturing hub in the state. In this direction, the Bihar Government has set up a special purpose unit, Bihar Integrated Manufacturing City Ltd., to accelerate the ambitious Integrated Manufacturing Cluster project in Gaya. (BIMCGL) has been formed. This project is expected to generate approximately 1,09,000 jobs and investment of Rs 16,000 crore in Bihar. This means that in the coming days, Bihari youth will get jobs on a large scale within the state.
All these will be infra related works
The state government said on Wednesday that the formation of the unit on January 6, 2025 is an important step towards starting work on the project immediately and completing it expeditiously. Under this project, infrastructure development is to be done on a large scale. It includes 29.89 km of internal road network, modern power substations, advanced water supply and waste water treatment system, integrated waste management facilities, skill development centres, commercial space and administrative offices. According to the statement, there is special focus on strategic connectivity facility. The complex will benefit from its proximity to Gaya Junction, major national highways and the upcoming new Paharpur Railway Station. The location provides easy access to important logistics points including Haldia Port and inland terminals at Gaighat (Patna) and Ramnagar (Varanasi).
Reached an agreement on November 12, 2024
Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) and National Industrial Corridor Development Program (NICDC) entered into an agreement on November 12, 2024. The Industries Department of Bihar Government signed the State Aid Agreement. The statement said the special vehicle (SPV) has a shared governance model with a board of directors. There is equal representation of state and central governments in it. This board of directors consists of six directors. There are three representatives of the state government and three of the central government. The Managing Director of BIADA will serve as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director of Bihar Integrated Manufacturing City Gaya Ltd.
