CBI interrogated Gaurav Mehta related to Bitcoin case of election state Maharashtra. Today CBI interrogated Gaurav Mehta for several hours in Raipur. Yesterday, CBI conducted raids in this case and summoned Gaurav Mehta for questioning. According to the information, Gaurav Mehta will also be interrogated on Friday. According to the order of the Supreme Court, all the cases related to Bitcoin fraud across the country will be investigated by CBI.
Let us tell you that in the investigation of this scam of Rs 6600 crore, the ED team had raided Gaurav Mehta’s bungalow in Raipur on Wednesday. This raid is related to a big crypto currency scam, in which Gaurav has been accused of fraud worth crores of rupees.
Case registered against these two mastermaids
In this case, CBI had also registered a case against two suspects Ajay Bhardwaj and Amit Bhardwaj. Amit died of a heart attack in 2022. Ajay is absconding and is being searched by many investigating agencies.
What is Bitcoin manipulation?
Actually, the mastermind of this scam was a person named Amit Bhardwaj who did the scam in the name of investment in Bitcoin. Hundreds of investors were defrauded. 10% returns were promised every month by investing in Bitcoin. After this scam, Amit Bhardwaj fled to Dubai but was deported back to India. He died of a heart attack in the year 2022. In this scam, Amit Bhardwaj gave 285 bitcoins to Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra in the name of opening a bitcoin mining farm in Ukraine. The price of these bitcoins at that time was around Rs 150 crore.
About 40 FIRs were registered in this case in Maharashtra and Punjab. Former IPS and cyber expert Ravindra Nath was also included in the investigation team to investigate the case. It is alleged that the then Pune Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta and an IPS Bhagyashree had taken over these bitcoin wallets and in return those bitcoin wallets were kept in which there was no money.

In this case, ED had arrested Shimpi Bhardwaj, Nitin Gaur and Nikhil Mahajan. Shimpi Bhardwaj is the wife of Amit Bhardwaj’s brother Ajay Bhardwaj.
