As soon as the new year starts, there are rumors of by-elections in Uttar Pradesh. This election is to be held on Milkipur assembly seat located near Ayodhya. As part of the preparations for the by-elections, BJP has deployed six ministers of the state government in Milkipur. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself is keeping an eye on the preparations for this by-election. He has visited Ayodhya thrice in the last 15 days. He also reviewed the preparations for the by-election in Milkipur on Saturday. This week also he will stay in Ayodhya for two days. He also has a program to address a public meeting in Milkipur. BJP’s preparations in Milkipur
By-elections were to be held on 10 seats of Uttar Pradesh Assembly. But the Election Commission had conducted by-elections only on nine seats in the state in November last year. One seat for which by-election was not held was Milkipur seat. Giving the reason for this, the Commission had said that a petition challenging the results of the election on Milkipur seat is pending in the High Court, hence by-election is not being held on this seat. Now it is expected that the dates for the by-election on this seat will be announced along with the Delhi Assembly elections. Keeping this in view, political parties have started their preparations.
CM Yogi Adityanath has visited Milkipur thrice in the last 15 days.
The ruling BJP in Uttar Pradesh is very serious about winning the Milkipur seat. BJP wants to win this seat at any cost. For this, the responsibility has been assigned to five ministers of Yogi Adityanath cabinet in BJP. The ministers who have been given the command of Millipur include the names of Swatantradev Singh, JPS Rathore, Dr. Dayashankar Mishra Dayalu, Minister of State Mayankeshwar Sharan Singh and Satish Sharma. Cabinet minister Surya Pratap Shahi is the minister in-charge of Ayodhya district. For this reason he is already keeping an eye on this seat. In this way, six ministers of the state government are working on a plan to win Milkipur. CM Yogi Adityanath keeps visiting Milkipur Ayodhya. CM Yogi has visited Milkipur and Ayodhya thrice in the last 15 days. He is scheduled to visit Milkipur and Ayodhya for two days this week. Will address a public meeting of BJP in Milkipur on January 8. He will participate in the Pratistha Dwadashi festival of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya on January 11.
How will BJP win Milkipur?
How serious BJP is for Milkipur can be understood from the fact that in the by-elections held on nine seats in November, it had fielded three ministers on each seat. Whereas for Milkipur, BJP has fielded five ministers. CM Yogi himself is reviewing this seat. Last Friday he had reviewed the election preparations in Milkipur. During this he had said that Lord Ram is a symbol of development. On the same lines, BJP is gaining everyone’s trust by walking on the path of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’. He had said that to get more votes in the elections, there should be competition among the Mandal, Shakti Kendra and booth units. The Mandal, Shakti Kendra and booth units getting the most votes will be honoured. In this meeting also attended the ministers who The responsibility of victory has been given. While awarding Jeet Mantri to these ministers, CM Yogi said that by forming booth-wise teams, instructions have been given to have direct communication and public relations with the public and to tell the government’s policies to the people.
What is Samajwadi Party’s preparation in Milkipur?
Not only BJP is active in this by-election, Samajwadi Party is also making every possible effort to save its stronghold. SP is trying to get international media organizations to come to cover this election, so that the world can know how the by-election of Milkipur is going on. In fact, in the by-election held in November, SP defeated BJP in the elections with the help of police and administration. Allegations of rigging were made. In view of this, SP wants that international media organizations should cover this election in maximum numbers. To win Milkipur, SP has intensified its public relations campaign. Teams have been deployed to increase the scope of contact at the booth level. In view of CM Yogi Adityanath’s visits to Ayodhya and Milkipur, SP MP Awadhesh Prasad had said that CM Yogi can visit Milkipur as many times as he wants, but SP will win. It will happen.
Why will by-election be held in Milkipur?
In the 2022 assembly elections, SP’s Awadhesh Prasad defeated BJP’s Gorakhnath by 12 thousand 923 votes in Milkipur. Milkipur seat falling in Faizabad district is reserved for Scheduled Caste. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, SP had given ticket to Awadhesh Prasad from Faizabad seat. In this election, Awadhesh Prasad defeated BJP’s Lallu Singh by a margin of more than 55 thousand votes. In the Lok Sabha elections, BJP’s Lallu Singh was behind SP’s Awadhesh Prasad by seven thousand 733 votes in Milkipur seat. Ayodhya also comes under this Faizabad seat. For this reason, this crushing defeat of BJP in Faizabad was discussed in the country and the world. Even after the construction of Ram temple at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya, the defeat at the hands of SP troubled the BJP. After being elected MP, Awadhesh Prasad Had resigned from the post of Milkipur MLA. For this reason by-election will be held in Milkipur.
