Rahul Gandhi had gone to Nigambodh Ghat on 28 December to attend the funeral of Dr. Manmohan Singh. However, he did not go to the ashes immersion on 29th December.
A round of allegations and counter-allegations continues between BJP and Congress on the death of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.
BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya wrote on X on Monday-
When the entire country is mourning the demise of the former PM, Rahul went to Vietnam to celebrate the New Year. Rahul politicized Dr. Singh’s death and took advantage of it for political purposes. Gandhi family and Congress hate Sikhs. Never forget that Indira Gandhi had defiled Darbar Sahib.
Congress MP Manickam Tagore said on Malviya’s allegations-
When will Sanghi people stop the politics of distraction? The way Modi denied Dr. Saheb a place for cremation on the banks of Yamuna and his ministers sidelined Dr. Saheb’s family is shameful. If Rahul is on a personal trip, what problem do you have? Everything will be fine in the new year.
Pawan Kheda said – did not go to immerse the ashes for the privacy of the family.
Manmohan Singh’s ashes were immersed at Yamuna Ghat in New Delhi on 29 December.
Amit Malviya had alleged on Sunday that no leader of Congress or Gandhi family attended the immersion of Dr. Manmohan Singh’s ashes. On this, Pawan Kheda said – Keeping in mind the privacy of the family, no leader of the Congress Party participated in the immersion of ashes.
After the funeral of Dr. Manmohan Singh, Sonia ji and Priyanka ji met his family. During the conversation it was felt that the family did not get privacy during the funeral. Some family members could not even reach the funeral pyre. Asthi immersion is an emotionally difficult time, so we took care of the family’s privacy.
