The country’s richest metropolitan municipality BMC has presented the biggest budget for Mumbai so far. This budget is 74427 crores which is about 14% more than the previous budget. The BMC, which is running in the financial burden of 2 lakh crores, made a provision of 43,162 crore for the development of the basic facilities of the dream city, but the introduction of new projects is avoided. - Rs 411 crore has been allocated for repair of school building
- A provision of ₹ 113 crore has been made for the Environment Department.
- A proposal for financial assistance of Rs 1,000 crore is also included to save the financially broken best service
BMC, who is handling the responsibility of Mumbai city, is very surrounded by air pollution.
