Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has canceled the 70th preliminary examination held at Bapu Bhawan Center in Patna. The Commission said that soon the examination will be conducted again for the candidates of this center. During the examination held on Friday, some students created a ruckus at the Bapu Bhawan examination center alleging irregularities and rigging in the examination. However, BPSC has denied any paper leak or other irregularities.

BPSC Chairman Ravi Manubhai Parmar announced the cancellation of the examination in Patna on Monday. He said that there was ruckus in this examination center during the examination by anti-social elements. The incident was investigated by the district administration. The investigation report was received on Sunday. He said that about 4.80 lakh candidates from the state had filled the application form for this examination. 912 examination centers were created in the state for the examination.

BPSC Chairman said that the examination was conducted peacefully in 911 examination centres, but some students had created a ruckus at the Bapu Bhawan Complex examination centre. A total of 12 thousand candidates came here to take the exam. Some students created a ruckus alleging that the question paper was late. He said that 25 to 30 people who created trouble have been identified and the BPSC is reviewing the action against them. Two teams from the level of Patna Superintendent of Police are also investigating this entire matter.

He said that the Commission cannot play with the students who are giving peaceful examinations, hence the examination of only this center has been cancelled. He informed that the exam date will be announced soon. The result of the examination will be declared along with other centres. He also made it clear that normalization will not be done and the question paper of the upcoming exam will be different. It is noteworthy that PT of BPSC 70th exam was conducted on 13th December across the state.

Meanwhile, Khan Sir, a teacher in the news regarding normalization, said, “‘Normalization’ is done when the examination cannot be conducted on one day or the number of students is very high. In different areas, if students are asked to answer different questions. For example in Bihar, Bhagalpur, Buxar and Sheohar you are giving different questions to 3 different areas. If you give me these 3 different question papers, then I will get different marks. See you, and I’ll get all the questions There will be no equal marks for the papers. This special formula may apply only to Mathematics… but it will not apply to General Studies… this discrimination should not happen to the students.
