67.40 lakh workers excluded
67.40 lakh workers were out of the scheme by calling them ineligible. If verified, the reason for the ineligible of 14.34 lakhs was not given in it. Many more such disturbances were revealed in the report submitted on the table in the assembly on Monday by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India.
2.18 crore people were registered under the scheme
The CAG first found that 2.18 crore people were registered in the scheme without obtaining age in the scheme and confirmation of eligibility for registration as unorganized workers. In the verification of eligibility made in June 2019, 67.40 lakh workers were declared ineligible on two and a half acres of land, government service, taxpayer and other basis.
An irregular payment of Rs 1.14 crore was made due to the involvement of ineligible people. Grace aid was also disturbed. According to the CAG report, the Chief Executive Officer of Sendhwa and Rajpur Janpad Panchayat of Barwani district deposited Rs 77.97 lakh through 23 transactions, including the names and bank accounts of Assistant Grade two employees and other unrelated persons of Pushpendra Yadav.
Submitted in four people account
Pushpendra Yadav was working as a accountant in Rajpur and then Sendhwa district panchayat till January 2020. In both the district panchayats, the District Panchayat Nidhi, Gram Panchayat Building, Election, Rashtriya Family Assistance, Madhyahan Food, Basti Development Scheme and Batti Development Scheme and bank account were withdrawn Rs 1.69 crore and deposited in the accounts of Pushpendra Yadav and four other persons. Assistance given without FIR
There should be an FIR with the application for grace assistance but in many cases it was not supported. They should have been given assistance of two lakh rupees as a case of normal death, but it was given at four lakhs. This made more payment of Rs 1.72 crore.
Somewhere double payment, payment of payment of people registered after death came to light in the investigation, it was also found that the registered unorganized laborer or his successor was not paid despite eligibility.
In such a situation, the character did not get assistance of Rs 2.20 crore. The government was asked to investigate and take action against the guilty officers and employees, but what happened later was not told.
