Lokesh Solanki, Indore. 2025 will prove to be golden for those seeking their first job after studies. There are indications that the hiring and placement done by companies this year will be the best in two years.
This is also being confirmed from the beginning of the placement season in all the college campuses of the city. For the first time, along with the IT companies doing traditional bulk recruitment, core and consultancy companies have also stepped in to provide jobs in the college campuses of Indore. Many big multinational names are also included in this.
20 percent increase in package from now
- An increase of about 20 percent in salary (package) is also being recorded from now on. Campus placements in engineering colleges of the city start from August and placement season in management colleges starts from October.
- After Diwali, the placement phase actually picks up pace. Due to the placement trends seen in colleges in the last two months of last year 2024, the enthusiasm of the placement officers along with the students has quadrupled.
Premier institute and metro city companies also
This year, such companies reached the colleges of Indore to provide jobs, which till now have been going only to the premier institutes and metro cities of the country. Engineer-Management colleges have names like Ernst & Young, Meelan, Master Card, Deutsche Bank, IDBI First, Nomura, Barclays, Avalera, Snyder along with Petron, Consult Aid, Grand Threaton, Sahyadri and Bajaj Electricals, CarWale as professionals for the first time. Besides, other names like Infosys, Cognizant, Volvo-Eicher, TCS have also participated in the placement process in the first round. Not only this, an IT company has offered a package of Rs 50 lakh per year to engineering students. Till now the management has received a package of Rs 22 lakh per year.
The average package in the first phase is more than Rs 7.25 lakh in engineering and Rs 10 lakh in computer engineering. Dr. Govind Maheshwari, in-charge of the University’s Central Placement Cell, says that many more companies are in the queue. It is not right to announce their names yet. The phase of campus placements will gain momentum in the new year and the placements will end by May-June. In such a situation, the indications are clear that 2025 will be record breaking for jobs.

Along with IT companies, not one or two but many consulting companies have reached Indore for the first time. There was global uncertainty in the middle of last year.
