  • The Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL), who is present in the name, has approved the installation of a new brownfield ammonia-yuria complex name IV fertilizer plant at the existing complex of BVFCL. This project will bring significant changes in the availability of urea in the northeast region.

6 lane high speed highway approved in Maharashtra

  • The construction of a six-lane high-speed greenfield National Highway from JNPA Port (Pagote) to Chowk in Maharashtra was approved. The 29.219 km long road will be built under the build, operate and transfer (BOT) model. A total of Rs 4,500.62 crore will be spent on this project.
  • The highway will provide better connectivity to the JNPA port located near Mumbai and the early Navi Mumbai International Airport. Due to the growing container traffic and new airports, the need for fast and direct connections was felt in the region.

So the need for 6 lane high speed highway lying

Indeed, it takes 2-3 hours to reach the Mumbai-Pune Expressway and NH-48 (Golden Quadrilateral Section) from JNPA port, as the route has heavy traffic jams in urban areas like Palaspe Phata, D-Point, Kalamboli and Panvel.

About 1.8 lakh vehicles (passenger car units – PCU) pass on this route daily. This year, when Navi Mumbai International Airport will be operational, the traffic pressure on this route will increase further. In such a situation, the new highway will reduce this congestion and provide fast and direct contact from JNPA port to the airport.

During the construction of the highway, two tunnels will also be built in the Sahyadri hills. This will not require the vehicles to cross the ghat section, so that heavy container trucks and other commercial vehicles will be able to come soon.
