Chinese drone fitted with camera found in Bhopal Central Jail with 69 terrorists, intelligence agencies start investigation

Naiduniya Representative, Bhopal. A Chinese drone has been found inside the Central Jail. This black colored drone also has cameras installed. Its battery has also been found charged. There are 69 terrorists lodged in this jail, who belong to different organizations. In such a situation, there is panic due to the discovery of drones.

It has not yet been revealed who sent the drone and for what purpose. Police and intelligence agencies have started investigating this.

Drone found with camera and full charge

• Jail Superintendent Rakesh Kumar Bhangre said that a two-storey building is being constructed near B-section of the jail. A drone was found fallen behind the Hanuman temple located here on Wednesday afternoon at 3.30 pm. The first to notice this was the jail guard Sonewal Chaurasia who was on duty there.
• When it was taken into possession and checked, the battery in it was found to be charged. This black colored drone also has cameras installed. Along with this, colorful lights also light up when it is switched on. No suspicious object was found in the drone during the investigation.
• Although on initial investigation this Chinese-made drone appears to be a toy, but its arrival in the high security area has been taken very seriously. DGP, DG Jail and other top officials have been informed about the incident. Intelligence agencies have also started investigating this.

Gandhi Nagar police station in-charge Suresh Farkle said that the drone has been seized and investigation is being done to find out how it reached inside the jail. For this, CCTV footage installed at many places in the jail is also being checked.

Two of the accused in jail were given death sentence

There are 23 SIMI terrorists in the high security cell of Bhopal Central Jail. Along with them, 21 terrorists of Popular Front of India, 17 of Hizb-ut-Tahrir, four of ISIS and four of Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh are imprisoned.

Two terrorists, Sabli alias Sabit Abdul Karim Muslim and Qamaruddin Chand Mohammad Nagauri, who were sentenced to death in the 2008 Ahmedabad blast case, have also been kept here, hence there is an uproar regarding drones.

Terrorists broke jail in 2016

• An incident of jail break had taken place in Central Jail, Bhopal on 30-31 October 2016, when eight dangerous terrorists of SIMI escaped from the jail by slitting the throat of head guard Ramashankar.
• However, after receiving information about the incident, the police killed everyone in an encounter on the plateau of Manikhedi, 10 kilometers away from the jail.

Investigating by looking at CCTV footage

Harinarayanchari Mishra, Police Commissioner, Bhopal said that nearby CCTV footage has been scrutinized. Initial investigation shows a Chinese drone. It is also being examined by technical experts.
