- IMD Weather Update; Delhi MP Rajasthan Cold Wave Alert | Himachal Snowfall

Snowfall continues in the northern states of the country. Visibility remained low in the morning due to fog in 18 states yesterday. More than 117 flights were delayed in Delhi. Whereas, 10 were cancelled. 27 trains coming to Delhi also could not reach on time.
According to IMD, a drop in temperature was recorded in many northern states including Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir. There was an impact of cold wave in Himachal Pradesh, along with snowfall in the upper areas and rain in some parts.
In many parts of Himachal, temperatures were recorded between 1 to 5°C, while in the north-western states of the country including Rajasthan, Gujarat, temperatures were recorded between 6 to 10°C.
Snowfall occurred in the higher reaches of Kashmir and some plains of the valley on Thursday. After this the cold increased and a drop in night temperature was recorded at most places. The minimum temperature of Gulmarg was recorded at -7°C. Whereas, Pahalgam was the coldest with a temperature of -11.8°C.
