The Meteorological Department has issued a cold wave alert in Himachal, Rajasthan and Punjab on Monday. Along with this, it was told that two western disturbances will be active in the Western Himalayan region (Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal, Uttarakhand) this week.

Because of this, there are chances of rain and snowfall in this area. The first western disturbance may become active on 29 January while the second one may become active on 1 February.

According to IMD, there will be no change in the minimum temperature in most areas of the country for the next 2 days. The minimum temperature of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra is likely to increase after 2 days, while the minimum temperature of Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal is likely to increase after 3 days.

According to IMD, the temperature has increased in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh due to the winds coming from South India and Western Disturbance. One reason for the increase in temperature is the absence of winds coming from the hilly areas of the north.

At the same time, this time 26 January was the hottest day in Delhi as compared to Republic Day in the last 8 years. Last day, the maximum temperature of the city was recorded at 23.7 degrees Celsius, which is 2 degrees more than normal. Earlier, the temperature recorded on Republic Day in 2017 was 26.1 degrees.
