The party is hoping to have a nationwide impact from the Congress rally to be held on Monday in Mhow, the birthplace of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar in Madhya Pradesh. The party is launching the ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Constitution’ campaign from here in the presence of party national president Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and MP Priyanka Vadra.

The objective is clear that Congress wants to portray itself as a well-wisher of Dr. Ambedkar and BJP as his opponent. In the political battle between Congress and BJP to capture the Dalit class under the influence of Dr. Ambedkar in the country, Congress now wants to move forward on the basis of evidence.

BJP vs Congress on Dalits: Know the politics behind the scenes

• Through this campaign, Congress will try to prove through many examples across the country how BJP is not only against Dalits but also hates them.
• Congress’s preparations have been completed regarding some such cases in Gujarat. Congress alleges that BJP had called Dalits in Gujarat retarded. BJP never gave Dalits their rights.
• Congress made a President from Dalit class. The national president of Congress is also a Dalit. These Congress allege that about a decade and a half ago, in Gujarat, Ambedkar was not considered a revolutionary but was described as a retarded child.
• There was an uproar even in the Parliament over this alleged statement of the veteran BJP leader. Congress is attacking BJP over the allegation that its leaders have also called Ambedkar impure.

Here, BJP has also taken charge and is turning the pages of history by accusing Congress of insulting Ambedkar. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, who is most vocal in this matter, has put forward many facts accusing everyone from Jawahar Lal Nehru to Rajiv Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi of being anti-Ambedkar.

The Chief Minister said that Rajiv Gandhi insulted Ambedkar’s contribution in opposing reservation. Congress never remembered Ambedkar while in power. The BJP government always kept his thoughts and contributions before the country, including the development of his birthplace Mhow.
