Manipur An encounter between CRPF and militants in Jiribam area of Jammu has again made the security situation critical in the state. The encounter took place near Borobekara police station around noon on Monday, in which security forces killed 11 suspected militants. A CRPF jawan has been seriously injured during the encounter, who has been admitted to the hospital. The incident has again highlighted the security and law and order challenges in Manipur.

The encounter took place when militants attacked CRPF and police personnel in Borobekara police station area. At around 2.30 am, the militants started firing in the direction of the police station. After this they proceeded towards Jakurador Karong and carried out arson incidents at many places on the way. Jakurador Karong area is very close to Borobekara police station and a relief camp is also located here. The attack raised concerns among both the local people and the security forces.
