The 18th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is starting from 22 March. The first match will be held between defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) from 7.30 pm at the Eden Gardens Stadium. The opening ceremony will also take place in Kolkata.

4. Where will the most matches be the most? The maximum 9-9 matches will be held at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata and the Rajiv Gandhi Uppal International Stadium in Hyderabad. Apart from the team’s 7 home matches, there will also be 2-2 matches of the playoffs.

BCCI decided to continue the Impact Players Rule from 2025 to 2027 after a meeting of the Governing Council on 28 September 2024. Under the Impact Player Rule, teams can replace one player in the middle match with the player sitting on the bench. However, the replaced player cannot return to that match. In this way, 12 players from a team play in a match.
9. How many foreigners can play in a team’s playing-11? Only 4 players from abroad can play in the playing-11 of a team, the remaining 7 Indian players will have to give a chance. The teams can also land with 11 Indian players if they want.
10. What will happen if the match is tied? If both teams score equal runs in their respective innings, then the match is tied. After this, the super over is played for the verdict. In this, both teams bat 1-1 over, the team that scorers is the winner. If the super over is also a tie, then the next super over will be. This will happen until the result comes.
11. What will happen if the match is canceled? If the match remains inconclusive for any reason, both teams will be given one point each. There is no point if you win the match. The DLS method will be applicable in the event of the match stop due to rain. However, it is also necessary to have a game of at least 5 overs in the second innings for the result. At the same time, it is necessary to have a 10 -over game in the second innings for the result in the playoff stage.
