CUET UG 2025: If you need admission in DU, BHU, JNU, then registration for CUET UG before 22 March

CUET UG 2025: Registration process is going on for CUET-UG 2025, necessary for admission in 46 central universities of the country, 41 state universities, 30 deemed and 162 private universities including DU, GenNU, BHU, Jamia.

Qualification required for giving CUET-UG

CUET (UG) – There is no age limit to join 2025. Candidates who have passed the class XII or equivalent examination or are appearing for class XII exam in 2025, they can appear in CUET-UG. However, the candidates will have to fulfill the age criteria (if any) of the university /institute, in which they are willing to take admission.

Test medium and pattern

It is a computer based test, which will be held in 13 Indian languages ​​-English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. For the question paper, the option of language will have to be selected only while filling the online application form, no change can be made later. CUET UG includes three Test paper- language, domain theme and general test. Each test paper will have 50 objective type of multiple choice questions and all questions are mandatory. The duration of each test paper will be 60 minutes. The question in the domain subject will be based on the syllabus of class XII. In the General Aptitude Test, questions focused on General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning, Logical and Analytic Reasoning will be asked.

You can apply only in five subjects

NTA has now reduced the number of CUET subjects for 2025 to 5. In the year 2024, students got the option to choose 6 subjects, while in 2022, students were given the option to take 9 subjects examination and in 2023 it was reduced to 10. Now the number of CUET subjects has been reduced to 5. Language and general tests will also be included in these five subjects. CUET-UG 2025 contains a total of 37 subjects (13 Indian languages ​​+ 23 Domain-Special Subject + 1 General Aptitude Test. Candidates can choose a maximum of five subjects for test paper.

Test centers will be 285 cities across the country

According to the information bulletin released, CUET-UG 2025 will be held in 285 cities of the country, provided the city has sufficient number of candidates. This list of cities includes Aurangabad, Bhagalpur, Darbhanga, Gaya, Muzaffarpur, Patna, Ara, Samastipur, Bihar Sharif, Rohtas, Jharkhand’s Bokro, Dhanbad, Jamshedpur, Ranchi, Hazaribagh, Ramgarh and Kolkata and Siliguri in West Bengal.
