The Department of Telecommunications (DOT) has warned millions of mobile users and said that cyber criminals can issue fake SIM cards in your name. The SIM card issued on the basis of fake documents can be used for cyber fraud, due to which you may face a big problem. The Department of Telecommunications has released a video on social media platforms and told people about how to avoid it.
In its post released from its official X handle, Dot told that cyber criminals can issue SIM cards by misusing your document. These fake SIM cards can be used for cyber fraud. To avoid this, you should go to the communication partner portal of the Department of Telecommunications and check the SIM card issued in your name. If you feel that there is a number that you do not use and is active in your name, then you should report it immediately. For this, you have to go to the communication partner portal and app launched by the Central Government.

The Department of Telecommunications said in its video that for this you have to go to the portal Sanchar Saathi (https://sancharsaathi.gov.in/) and remove the fake SIM card released in your name while following the instructions given.
- First of all, you have to go to the web portal or app of the communication partner.
- Here you will find the option of Know Mobile Connections in your name.
- On clicking this option, the new window of TAFCOP will open for users.
- Enter your mobile number and captcha here.
- After this, enter the OTP on your number and log in to the portal.
- Here you will get the details of all the SIM cards released in your name.
- If you see a fake number in your name, then you can request to remove it and remove it.
- After receiving the request to the Department of Telecommunications and Telecom companies, action will be taken on that number released in your name and it will be blocked.

- Especially use masked Aadhaar card so that your Aadhaar number cannot be misused.
