Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court has issued notice to Delhi CM Atishi and AAP MP Sanjay Singh. This notice has been given in the defamation case of Congress leader Sandeep Dixit. The next hearing of the case will be on January 27.
Congress candidate from New Delhi, Sandeep Dixit, has said in his complaint that defamatory allegations were made against him and the Congress in a press conference in New Delhi on 26 December.
CM Atishi and Sanjay Singh had said that Sandeep Dixit has taken crores of rupees from BJP to defeat Kejriwal and they are involved in conspiring with BJP to defeat AAP.
Congress gave three new guarantees Congress has announced three guarantees regarding Delhi elections. After forming the government on Thursday, Congress guaranteed the people of Delhi a cylinder worth Rs 500, free ration kit and up to 300 units of free electricity.
While addressing a press conference on Thursday, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that Congress will fulfill all its guarantees if the government is formed in Delhi. During this time, in-charge Qazi Nizamuddin and Delhi Congress Chief Devendra Yadav were also present with him.
Congress guarantees…
1. Pyari Didi Scheme- Congress had launched the Pyari Didi scheme on January 6, giving the first election guarantee. Under which, if the government is formed, it was promised to give Rs 2,500 per month to the women of Delhi.
2. Life Saving Plan- Giving a second guarantee on January 8, Congress had announced the Jeevan Raksha Yojana. Under this, Congress promised to provide insurance of Rs 25 lakh each to all the people of Delhi.
3. Yuva Udaan Scheme- On January 13, Congress launched the Yuva Udaan Yojana, giving the third guarantee. Under this, Delhi Congress promised to give Rs 8,500 every month for one year to the educated unemployed youth of Delhi.
4. Cylinder worth Rs 500- On January 16, Congress gave a fourth guarantee by promising a cylinder worth Rs 500.
5. Free Ration Kit- On January 16, Congress gave the fifth guarantee and promised to provide free ration kits. The ration kit will include 2 kg sugar, 1 liter oil, 6 kg pulses and 250 grams tea leaves.
6. Free electricity up to 300 units- On January 16, Congress gave the sixth guarantee and promised to provide up to 300 units of free electricity.
Voting will take place on all 70 seats in Delhi on 5 February. Whereas, the results will be declared on 8th February. The current tenure of Delhi Assembly is ending on 23 February.
