Before the Delhi Assembly elections, more than Rs 220 crore has been seized so far. The Chief Election Officer (CEO) office of Delhi gave this information on Monday. These seized properties include drugs worth Rs 88 crore, precious metal (gold-silver etc.) worth Rs 81 crore, Rs 40 crore cash.
The Chief Election Officer said that it is about four times more than the 2020 Delhi assembly elections, when the total seizure was Rs 57.5 crore. He assured that the elections would be independent, fair and transparent and the truth and honesty of the electoral process would be maintained.
CEO told- More than 7,500 complaints were received on Cvigil app The Chief Election Officer said that after the implementation of the code of conduct, more than 7,500 complaints have been received through Cvigil platform so far. Of these, 7,467 complaints have been resolved. Only 32 complaints are still in process. Apart from this, election officials have registered 2,780 FIRs, which are more than the 2020 elections.
Election campaign stopped at 5 pm on Monday The campaign for Delhi assembly elections came to an end at 5 pm on Monday evening. Now voting will take place on Wednesday and the result will come on Saturday. On the last day of campaigning, leaders of AAP, BJP, Congress fiercely did public relations.
Former Delhi CM and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal wrote on X- According to my estimate, 55 seats of Aam Aadmi Party are coming, but if women put in force, all go to vote and the men of their house also get the Aam Aadmi Party to the Aam Aadmi Party If you explain to vote, you can also come more than 60.
He also released a video. It said- I have come to know that they can disturb 10% of the votes through BJP EVM. Give us a lead of more than 10% everywhere. If we get a 15% lead, we will win by 5%.
Kejriwal said that the only way to deal with EVM is to vote as much as possible. We have created a website as a precaution. Taking a lesson from Maharashtra-Haryana elections, we have decided that on the night of February 5, we will upload 6 details of every polling booth so that machines cannot be tampered with. If they (BJP) make any disturbances on the day of counting, you can match the numbers.
A total of 699 candidates are in the fray for 70 assembly seats in Delhi. The current term of the assembly ends on 23 February.
