Delhi Assembly Elections: BJP releases second list of 29 candidates, ticket to Kapil Mishra from Karawal Nagar


New Delhi:

The second list of names of BJP candidates for Delhi Assembly Elections has been released. There are names of 29 candidates in this list. The party has made Kapil Mishra its candidate from Karawal Nagar. At the same time, BJP has once again expressed confidence in Abhay Verma from Laxmi Nagar assembly seat. Verma is the current MLA from this seat. With BJP releasing the second list of 29 candidates, the party has declared the names of candidates for 58 seats for the 70-member Delhi Assembly elections.

BJP has not given ticket to the current MLA from Karawal Nagar, Mohan Singh Bisht. Kapil Mishra has been made the candidate in his place. Whereas from Moti Nagar, the party has fielded Harish Khurana, son of former Delhi Chief Minister Madan Lal Khurana.

Tickets given to 5 women candidates

There are names of five women candidates in the second list of BJP. In the first list, the party had given tickets to two women candidates. Till now the party has given tickets to seven women.

Neelam Pehalwan against Kailash Gehlot

The party has made Neelam Krishna Pehalwan its candidate from Najafgarh. Wrestler had become BJP councilor from Dhinchaukalan ward with the highest number of votes and now the party has expressed confidence in her in the assembly as well. Kailash Gehlot is the current MLA from Aam Aadmi Party in Najafgarh.

From Shakur Basti, the party has given ticket to Karnail Singh, who was the president of BJP’s temple cell. Aam Aadmi Party’s candidate for this seat is Satyendar Jain.

Priyanka Gautam candidate from Kondli

Along with this, Priyanka Gautam, who recently joined BJP from Aam Aadmi Party, has been fielded by the party from Kondli. Along with this, Surya Prakash Khatri from Timarpur, Raj Karan Khatri from Narela, Bajrang Shukla from Kirari, Satish Jain from Chandni Chowk, Karm Singh Karma from Sultanpur Majra (SC), Gajendra Daral from Mundka, Manoj Kumar Jindal from Sadar Bazar, BJP has made Shyam Sharma and Kamal Bagri its candidates from Ballimaran.

Pawan Sharma from Uttam Nagar, Pankaj Kumar Singh from Vikaspur, Neeraj Basoya from Kasturba Nagar, Sandeep Sehrawat from Matiala, Pradyuman Rajput from Dwarka, Kuldeep Solanki from Palam, Umang Bajaj from Rajinder Nagar, Rohtas Bidhuri from Tughlakabad, Manish Chaudhary from Okhla and Seelampur. Expressing confidence in Anil Gaur, the party has fielded him in the elections.

Names of 29 candidates were in the first list also

Let us tell you that BJP had also announced the names of 29 candidates in its first list for Delhi Assembly elections. These included 10 high profile seats. The party had fielded Parvesh Verma against Arvind Kejriwal from New Delhi seat.

The Election Commission has announced the election date for 70 assembly seats of Delhi. Elections will be held in Delhi in one phase on 5th February and the result will be announced on 8th February.

Chief Election Commissioner of India Rajiv Kumar said that women voters are 71.74 lakh and youth voters are 25.89 lakh. On the other hand, the total number of voters going to vote for the first time is 2.08 lakh. Apart from this, more than 13 thousand polling stations will be built in Delhi. The number of voters above 100 years is 830.
