Delhi Election 2025 Once again the contest in the political battle of Delhi seems to be interesting. For the assembly elections to be held next year Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Has taken command of his campaign. Former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday announced that before the elections, his party will hold 65,000 meetings across Delhi under the ‘Rewari Par Charcha’ campaign. In these meetings the public will be told the benefits of the free facilities of the AAP government.
Kejriwal’s big bet: Promise of free schemes
Kejriwal announced that if the public re-elects the AAP government, women will be given financial assistance of ₹1,000 every month. This new promise is being considered as a big gift to the women of Delhi. Also, he said that promises like 24-hour free electricity, free water, free education, mohalla clinics, free bus travel for women and pilgrimage for the elderly will also continue.
‘Discussion on Rewari’: Masterplan of election strategy
Kejriwal said in his statement, “From today we are starting the ‘Rewari Par Charcha’ campaign. Under this campaign we will hold 65,000 meetings in every corner of Delhi.”
In these meetings, party workers and officials will tell the public that through these free schemes, the government is returning the benefits of their own taxes to the public.
Kejriwal also targeted BJP and said,
“If BJP comes to power, all these schemes will be stopped.” He called it the result of BJP’s “anti-people attitude”.
Free schemes: public need or ‘rewd culture’?
Kejriwal raised the question whether free facilities are not the right of the public? He said,
“We provide free facilities to the public with their tax money. Is this wrong? If the public wants, we are ready to bring better plans.”
At the same time, the opposition is criticizing this move by calling it “politics of distributing cattle”. The BJP described it as a symbol of economic mismanagement and said such schemes could cause harm in the long run.
Special announcements for women and elderly
This time Kejriwal has paid special attention to women and elderly voters. According to him:
- For women: Financial assistance of ₹1,000 every month.
- for the elderly: The facility of free pilgrimage will continue.
The move is an attempt to directly benefit women and senior citizens, who form a major part of Delhi’s total voters.
Delhi Model: Emphasis on health and education
The ‘Delhi Model’ of the AAP government will also be an important part of this election strategy. The success of mohalla clinics and government hospitals will be highlighted.
- Mohalla Clinic: Better and free treatment facilities.
- Education: Excellent results and world class facilities in government schools.
Kejriwal believes that the work his government has done in the fields of health and education is an example for the entire country.
Answer of BJP and Congress
BJP and Congress have raised questions regarding this campaign. BJP spokesperson said,
“Rewari culture limits the rights of the people instead of making them self-reliant.”
At the same time, Congress says that the AAP government is resorting to free schemes to hide its failures.
Will ‘Discussion on Rewari’ change the electoral equation?
Political experts believe that the ‘Rewari Pe Charcha’ campaign can be a masterstroke for the AAP party.
- Targeting women: Through the ₹1,000 scheme, AAP is trying to create a large vote bank of women.
- Youth have confidence in employment and education: The party’s hold on youth may become stronger regarding free education and health.
- Direct attack on BJP: AAP has adopted an aggressive stance by accusing the opposition party of being “anti-people”.
Will Kejriwal government be formed again?
AAP party’s campaign in Delhi Elections 2025 seems to be completely planned and focused at the grassroots level.
- 65,000 meetings
- duplication of free plans
- Focus on women and elderly voters
All these strategies can bring Aam Aadmi Party to a stronger position. Now it remains to be seen how much support you are able to garner in your favor through the ‘Rewari Pe Charcha’ campaign.
It will be interesting to see who will win in this electoral politics.
