Arvind Kejriwal filed nomination from New Delhi Assembly seat. During this time his wife was also with him.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor and former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal filed nomination from New Delhi seat on Wednesday. Before nomination he worshiped at Valmiki temple. After this he reached Hanuman temple. After the puja he said- God is with me. After this he reached the Collectorate holding a rally with the workers.
After filing nomination, Kejriwal said, ‘I would like to tell the people of Delhi to vote for work. On one side there is a working party and on the other side there is an abusive party. We are contesting elections on what work has been done in the last 10 years.
BJP has fielded Pravesh Verma from New Delhi seat against former CM Kejriwal, while Congress has fielded Sandeep Dixit. Former CM Kejriwal will face the sons of two late former chief ministers. Parvesh Verma is the son of former CM Sahib Singh Verma, while Sandeep Dikshit is the son of former CM Sheila Dikshit.
Foot march and darshan in Hanuman temple before nomination
Arvind Kejriwal is contesting from New Delhi Assembly seat for the third time. His wife is also present with him in the march from AAP office to Collectorate.
Kejriwal offered the flag after offering puja at the Hanuman temple.
Election dates have been announced in Delhi. Voting will take place on all 70 seats on February 5. Whereas, the results will be declared on 8th February. The current tenure of Delhi Assembly is ending on 23 February.
