Former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia is contesting elections from Jangpura this time. He had won the last election from Patparganj. This time he was afraid of anti-incumbency there. This time his seat has been changed. AAP has given ticket to YouTube teacher Avadh Ojha from Patparganj. In Jangpura, Sisodia is contesting from Farhad Suri of Congress. He is the son of veteran Congress leader Tajdar Babar. Babar has been MLA twice on Congress ticket. Whereas BJP has made Tarvinder Singh Marwah its candidate from Jangpura. He has been MLA from Jangpura seat three times. Marwah left Congress and joined BJP in 2022.

Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi politics

Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party has been running the government in Delhi for the last three times. AAP came to power for the first time in the 2013 elections. No party got majority in that assembly election. In that election, BJP had won 31 seats with 33.12 percent votes. AAP, contesting elections for the first time, had won 28 seats with 29.64 percent votes. Whereas Congress got 24.67 percent votes and eight seats. AAP formed the government under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal with the support of Congress.

Your first government could not last long. Because of this, assembly elections had to be held once again in 2015. AAP made a historic performance in this election by winning 67 out of 70 seats. BJP could win only three seats. Congress did not get any seats. After this, AAP could not repeat its previous performance in the elections held in 2020. Even after this, AAP managed to win 62 out of 70 seats. BJP got eight seats. Congress had to be satisfied with zero in this election also.
