A sensational case of a woman’s dead body being found inside a fridge came to light in Vrindavan Dham Colony on Friday. Within a few hours of the body being found, the police arrested live-in partner Sanjay Patidar, resident of village Vikram Nagar (Molana), district Ujjain, on charges of murder of the deceased Pinky Prajapati.
Preparation to bring him for questioning from Rajasthan jail
His accomplice in the murder, Vinod Dave, the second accused, has not been arrested yet as he is lodged in a jail in Rajasthan. Dewas Police is preparing to bring Dave from Rajasthan jail to Dewas for questioning by taking a production warrant from the court.
The woman was away from her family
During police interrogation on Saturday, the accused made revelations regarding the murder. According to sources, the deceased woman had left the house in the year 2016 itself. She was not in any contact with the family, due to which the family was not even aware of her disappearance.
Family members searched for several months
The woman’s relatives came on Saturday, but they did not talk to the media. Some members of the society told that earlier the relatives made a lot of efforts to find Pratibha alias Pinky, but after not finding her, they stopped their efforts. The family was not even aware of his stay in Dewas. From the district hospital, the body was taken to Ujjain for the last rites.
Used to work in Sanjay’s office
According to the information, Pratibha was working in the chain marketing office of Sanjay Patidar in Freeganj area since 2017. During this time, a love affair developed between the two. Both of them started living together. In Ujjain, Sanjay had placed Pratibha in Vivekananda Colony, Annapurna Nagar, Tirupati Dham Colony and other areas.
Was living in Dewas since 2022
In the year 2022, Sanjay and Pratibha came to Dewas and started living here. A brother and parents of deceased Pratibha live in a colony located in Chimanganj police station area of ​​Ujjain. The family does not want him to reveal his identity. He had no relation with the woman either.
Sanjay returned to the village only six months ago
Sanjay, accused of murdering a woman in Dewas, had left the village 20 years ago. He had returned only six months ago. After arrival, Sanjay had increased his social activities. The local people are surprised after getting information about the incident.
Villagers say that from Sanjay’s behavior it did not seem that he had come here after killing someone. The society said that whatever Sanjay did was wrong. There is also talk of social boycott of Sanjay.
Police reached the spot
Here on Saturday, BNP TI Amit Solanki and his team presented the accused in the court and took him on police remand for one day. Before appearing in the court, the medical examination of the accused was done in the district hospital.
According to sources, during interrogation it has come to light that he was left alone due to his partner Vinod Dave being in jail. For this reason the dead body was not disposed of.

According to sources, after the murder the accused did not understand what to do with the dead body. Due to this, he kept the woman’s body locked in the fridge. In the evening itself, DIG and police captain also reached the spot and BNP police station. The accused is being interrogated in the case and will be presented in the court on Sunday.

Here in Vrindavan Dham Colony, people kept discussing among themselves throughout the day on Saturday as to how a person of religious nature who lived in a civilized and peaceful manner in the colony committed murder. The deceased woman was known to all the women of the colony, due to which discussions continued throughout the day among the women.
People were also surprised to know that the dead body was kept in the fridge for 10 months in a house so close to their homes. Other tenants living in the house where the dead body was found also went to some of their relatives’ places. People also talked about socially boycotting the person who carried out such a massacre.
