Former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the corruption game exposed in the department after former Transport Department constable Saurabh Sharma was revealed to be the owner of property worth crores in Madhya Pradesh. He has demanded from Prime Minister Modi to investigate the transport scam under the supervision of the Chief Justice of the High Court.

Former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh wrote in the letter that in the transport scam exposed yesterday in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, crores of rupees have been seized from a former constable of the department. This is against your promise in which you often say things like “Neither will I eat, nor will I allow” against corruption from every major platform. This “transport scam case” caught in the state is being echoed in the entire country.

The Congress leader wrote, on December 19, Rs 3 crore cash and 200 kg silver ingot along with many documents of benami properties were found at the house of former constable Saurabh Sharma, who worked in the Transport Department of Bharatiya Janata Party ruled Madhya Pradesh for almost 20 years. . The same person’s partner found 52 kg gold and Rs 11 crore in cash in the seized car. It has also been learned that the Income Tax Department has seized a diary which contains the names of officers, leaders and businessmen.

Digvijay Singh further said that there is discussion among the people as to how much goods of transport scam would have reached the house of former Transport Minister and former Chief Minister. A former constable named Saurabh Sharma has been booked for corruption worth crores of rupees. He had the direct patronage of the former Transport Minister resident of Sagar. Saurabh Sharma used to sit at the bungalow like a family member of the former Transport Minister, where along with Sanjay Srivastava, he used to keep accounts of the transactions worth crores of rupees of the Transport Department in the entire state.

He further wrote that the investigation into the transport scam should be conducted under the supervision of the Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court. Benami properties found during investigation should be confiscated and the amount should be deposited in the government treasury. The scope of investigation should be increased and the accused should be arrested immediately. The former chief minister demanded that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) should also register a case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act in this matter. Singh’s letter names many people and also talks about corruption at the ‘check barriers’ installed by the transport department.
