Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh met PM Narendra Modi on the first day of the new year. Diljit saluted PM Modi as soon as he saw him. PM also welcomed Dosanjh by calling him Sat Shri Akal.

There was a long conversation between Diljit Dosanjh and PM. Diljit told that many things including music were discussed.

Diljit Dosanjh’s troubles may increase Diljit Dosanjh may get into legal trouble after the live concert in Ludhiana on 31st December. It is alleged that Diljit sang songs promoting alcohol and drugs despite the ban. In this regard, Panditrao Dharenwar, an assistant professor from Chandigarh, said that if action is not taken in the matter, he will prepare to go to court against the singer.

Diljit sang songs like Theke, Kes, Patiala Peg with slight variations at the concert organized at Punjab Agriculture University in Ludhiana. He has received a formal notice from the Deputy Director of the Children’s Department. In which it is written that on December 31, a request was made not to sing songs promoting drugs or violence in the live show. Despite this, he continued singing those songs.

Diljit had said- If there is a problem then ban it Earlier, in a notice issued by the District Welfare Officer of Telangana, the singer was asked not to sing songs like Patiala Peg and Panj Tara during the live show. Responding to this, the singer had said during a program in Ahmedabad on November 17 that if the Indian government bans alcohol, he will stop making songs about alcohol. He had said that if all the states declare themselves liquor-free states, then I promise that I will never sing about liquor.

There was controversy over the concert held in Chandigarh There was also a controversy regarding Diljit’s concert held on December 14 in Sector-34, Chandigarh. Ranjit Singh, resident of Sector-23, had demanded cancellation of the concert. He had filed a petition in the High Court saying that Diljit’s show would lead to a breakdown of the traffic system in the city. However, later permission for the concert was granted.

After this, the administration issued a show cause notice to the organizers of the concert. The administration had filed a status report in the High Court. The administration had said that the sound level during the concert was found to exceed the prescribed limit. The sound was not supposed to go above 75 decibels (DB), but during the concert the sound reached 82 decibels. The hearing of this case will take place on January 9.
