Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has questioned the new ‘National Education Policy (NEP)’ brought by the BJP government at the Center and described it as a means promoting Hindi. On an attempt to spread hatred on linguistic grounds, PM Modi said that there is no rivalry between languages. At the same time, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has accused the Tamil Nadu government of converting reforms into politics.
Pradhan said, “There is no question of imposing any language on any state or community.” At the same time, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, who is looking for politics on linguistic grounds, said, “I urge the central government not to instigate the Tamil people again. Do not throw stones at the bee hive. As long as I and DMK are here, you (Central Government) cannot enter here. ”
On the other hand, on the statement of Dharmendra Pradhan, CM Stalin said on Friday (21 February 2025) in Kuddalore, “The Union Minister claims that Tamil Nadu did not get Rs 5,000 crore, as we did not implement NEP schemes. What will we do if we refuse to pay taxes collected from Tamil Nadu? Federalism It is based on the foundation of our constitution. Unfortunately, those who do not understand this philosophy are ruling the country today. ”
Sastalin reiterated that NEP was introduced not for the development of education but to promote Hindi. He said, “Since people will directly oppose the implementation, they are trying to implement it slowly. The Union Minister claims that they are developing regional languages, but we know how to develop Tamil. Ask those who have lost their mother tongue due to imposing Hindi. Tamil does not require their support for their development. ”
Stalin says, “In the name of NEP, they are trying to stop our children from studying, admission in schools and getting jobs. They are doing exactly the same as people were tortured a hundred years ago. The NEP has been introduced to destroy social justice. This will block the progress of BC, MBC and SC communities. ”
On the other hand, Union Minister Pradhan Stalin’s Allegations Has rejected it outright. He said that National Education Policy 2020 is not imposing any language on any state. He said, “Through social media, I came to know that Tamil Nadu CM Stalin has written a letter to PM Modi. He has expressed some imaginary concerns in that letter filled with political inspiration. ”
Pradhan said that the main objective of NEP was to make the world standardization of education and connect it to Indian roots. He said, “States like Tamil Nadu have to promote linguistic and cultural heritage. The Government of India is conducting all the entrance examinations in all the major 13 languages and one of them is also Tamil. ”
The Union Education Minister further said that PM Modi’s government is committed to promoting the language and heritage of Tamil Nadu. He said, “PM Modi announced India’s first Thiruvallur Cultural Center in Singapore to promote Tamil ideas globally.”
meanwhile PM Modi On Friday (February 21), he said that the languages of India have always been with each other. Without any enmity they have been influenced and enriched by each other. He said this at the inauguration ceremony of the 98th All India Marathi Sahitya Sammelan held in New Delhi. PM Modi said, “When an attempt was made to create a division on the basis of languages, India’s shared linguistic heritage responded to this. Stay away from misconception. ”
