Don’t wish bad for Russia, stop Ukraine war immediately, otherwise…: Donald Trump warns Putin

US President Donald Trump on Wednesday directly warned Russian President Putin to end the war with Ukraine or be prepared for an increase in tariffs.

He has told his counterpart Putin to either end the war with Ukraine or be prepared for taxes, tariffs and many other sanctions. He has warned Russia by posting on the social media platform Truth. He has said that stop the war otherwise I have no option.

Trump has said that I do not want to harm Russia in any way, although I have a good relationship with Russian leader Putin. He has done good work. All I want to tell them is that Russia’s economic situation is worsening. I want to tell them that they should stop the war otherwise disaster will happen. The conditions are getting worse due to war.

Trump has warned Russia in strong words that Putin will have to take steps for war, otherwise its effect will be dire. Apart from this, he has said that we are also talking with Ukraine on this issue.

In the swearing-in ceremony held on Monday, Trump has clearly said that he wants peace in the world. He has said that the Russian President has brought Russia to the brink of destruction. Now the time has come that Russia and Ukraine should talk to each other and take a better decision soon.

US President Donald Trump has said that Russian President Vladimir Putin is “destroying Russia” by refusing to negotiate to end the war with Ukraine. This war started in February 2022. Speaking to reporters after returning to the Oval Office on Monday, Trump demanded a peace deal with Putin and emphasized that the long-running conflict is taking a toll on Russia.

Trump said, “Putin should compromise. I think by not compromising he is ruining Russia. Russia is going to be in big trouble.” Trump said that plans for a meeting with Putin are already underway and expressed hope that a solution would be reached.

  • Recalling his previous conversation with the Russian leader, Trump said, “I had a very good relationship with him, I hope he will make a deal.”
  • Regarding the prolongation of the war, Trump said, “Most people thought the war would end in about a week, but it didn’t end even in three years.” He also mentioned the pressure on Russia’s economy, including the impact of inflation.
  • Trump claimed that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is interested in peace talks. He wants a peace agreement.
  • During his election campaign, Trump promised to end the conflict. He also said that he can establish peace within 24 hours of assuming office.

Addressing reporters, he reiterated his determination, saying, “We will try to get this done as quickly as possible. You know, the war with Ukraine and Russia should never have started.”

Trump’s nominee for secretary of state, Senator Marco Rubio, considered Russia the “aggressor” in the conflict, saying “each side is going to have to concede something.”
