DSSSB Delhi Teacher Bharti 2025: A large number of posts of teachers are vacant in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi and in view of this, the Municipal Corporation has decided to recruit 8,000 teachers. This decision has been taken after the recently released audit report of the Education Department, in which there has been a huge shortage of teachers, although this recruitment is expected to improve the condition of municipal schools.
According to the report of Delhi Education Department, there is a shortage of 7,928 teachers in Delhi Municipal Corporation schools. At present, 18 thousand 494 teachers are employed in these schools, while at least 26,000 teachers are needed in view of the number of students.
Municipal corporation sent proposal to DSSSB
To meet the shortage of teachers, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi has sent a proposal to recruit 8000 teachers to the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board. This recruitment will be completed through DSSSB. Soon the official notification will be issued by the board.

Recruitment process and qualification
Recruitment of teachers in Delhi Municipal Corporation will be done through written examination/interview. The posts of teachers admitted in the municipal corporation include TGT, PGT, PRT, Nursery Teacher. Graduation for TGT+B.Ed and CET, PG+B.Ed Degree for PGT. Also, it is necessary to pass CTET. To become a nursery teacher, it is necessary to have a diploma in nursery teacher training after 12th.
Age limit for DSSSB Delhi Teacher Bharti 2025
The maximum age limit for TGT and PGT is 32 years. OBC category candidates will get 3 years and SC/ST will get 5 years exemption. The age limit for the posts of primary and nursery teacher is 30 years. However, the age limit for women candidates is 40 years.
