DU Admission 2025: Delhi University (DU) has made significant changes in the admission process of Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Commerce BCom (Honors) program of 2025-26 sessions. According to the information bulletin issued by the university, now candidates taking admission in BA program will be eligible to choose two domain subjects. Earlier, candidates had to select one language and three domain subjects. This change will provide more flexibility to students, making them to conform to their subject combinations with academic merit and professional ambitions.
Admission in these courses will still be done through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) and the seat allocation will be through the Common seat Allocation System (CSAS).
Language Requirement of Changed Science Courses
The university has also made changes in the language recording of science courses. Earlier, it was necessary to get a minimum of 30 percent marks in their language subject for students studying Physics, Chemistry and Maths (PCM). Now this requirement has been removed, which has made the scope of opportunities for students of various academic sections.

New eligibility for BCom (Hons)
DU has also made changes in the eligibility process of admission to BCom (Hons). Now those students, who have not taken the mathematics subject in 12th, will be eligible to apply under a new subject combination category. Two subject combination models have been prepared for commerce entry-
First combination model: List A has a language, mathematics or two subjects from Applied Mathematics and List B.
Second combination model: A language, accountancy or bookkeeping from the list A and any two subjects from the list B (there is no change in it).
List A includes 14 languages and 22 domain-specific themes in list B, which gives students a comprehensive subject combination options.
Graduates in DU affiliated 91 colleges will operate the admission process for 2025-26 academic year. The university has approved 540 programs, emphasizing on promoting academic development and inclusion. In addition, students will have to apply separately for admission to the School of Open Learning (SOL) and Non-College Women’s Education Board (NCWEB).
