DU: Delhi University will get the gift of three new projects

DU: The Prime Minister will give a gift to the people of Delhi in the New Year on Friday. Will lay the foundation stone of three new projects costing more than Rs 600 crore in Delhi University. The eastern campus consists of an academic block at Surajmal Vihar in East Delhi and an academic block at the western campus in Dwarka. He will also lay the foundation stone of the building of Veer Savarkar College in Roshanpura, Najafgarh, which will have state-of-the-art facilities for education. Giving this information, Delhi University Vice Chancellor Professor Yogesh Singh said that arrangements will also be made for live telecast of the foundation stone laying ceremony at the project sites in which hundreds of local people will participate.

The academic block will be constructed on the 15.25-acre eastern campus in Surajmal Vihar at an estimated cost of Rs 373 crore. Along with LLB, LLM and five-year integrated LLB program, other multidisciplinary programs will also be conducted in this campus. The 59618 square meter built up area of ​​this project will have many state-of-the-art facilities including 60 classrooms, 10 tutorial rooms, 6 moot courts, 4 computer labs, 2 cafeterias and 2 common rooms.

College will be built in the name of Veer Savarkar

In the first phase of the western campus to be built in Dwarka Sector 22, a new academic building will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 107 crore. Many modern facilities will be available in the 19434.28 square meter built up area of ​​this project including 42 class rooms, 2 moot courts, digital library, conference room, faculty room, cafeteria, boys and girls common room and seminar hall. A college in the name of Veer Savarkar will be constructed in Roshanpura, just 5 minutes away from the Western Campus.

This project, with a built-up area of ​​18816.56 square meters at an estimated cost of about Rs 140 crore, will have state-of-the-art facilities for academic activities like 24 class rooms, 8 tutorial rooms, a canteen and 40 faculty rooms including department library and conference rooms.
