Entrance Exam: The details of class -wise vacancies for the academic session 2025-26 are as follows: Class 6 – 1560 seats, class 7 – 110 seats, class 8 – 225 seats, and class 9 – 1088 seats. A total of 40 examination centers have been set up for the entrance examination. Each district will have an examination center, while two examination centers have been established in Purnia and Sitamarhi districts.
Entrance Exam: The entrance examination for the academic session 2025-26 in 39 Other Backward Class Girls Residential +2 High Schools of the state will be conducted on March 9, 2025 (Sunday). This entrance examination is being conducted for admission in classes 6, 7, 8 and 9. The application process has ended on February 28, 2025 and a total of about 4200 applications have been received against a total of 2983 vacancies. The temporary result of the entrance examination is expected to be declared on March 18, 2025, and the academic session is likely to start from April 1, 2025.
Format and details of examination
The entrance examination will be of objective type, in which a total of 100 marks questions will be asked and there will be no negative marking. The exam time period has been fixed at 2 hours. The question paper will contain questions related to English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science and Social Science subjects, 20 marks are prescribed for each subject.

Backward Classes and Extreme Backward Classes Welfare Department, Government of Bihar, are committed to providing quality education to girls of the state. The department currently operates a total of 39 other backward class girls residential +2 high school with 520 postures in all the districts where free education, housing and food facilities are being provided to the girls. The department appeals to all eligible girl students to get admission in these schools.
