New Delhi. Two new international brands have entered the two-wheeler segment in the Indian market. Austrian Brixton Motorcycles and Italian VLF (Velocifero) have partnered with KAW Veloce Motors to introduce bikes and scooters for Indian customers. These vehicles will be manufactured at the KAW Veloce Motors plant located in Kolhapur, Maharashtra.
Brixton has launched four of its retro motorcycles in India, while VLF has entered with its Tennis electric scooter. The price of Tennis electric scooter has been kept at Rs 1.3 lakh (ex-showroom). At the same time, the price of Brixton’s Crossfire and Cromwell series motorcycles ranges from Rs 4.74 lakh to Rs 9.10 lakh (ex-showroom).
Features of VLF Tennis electric scooter
Velocifero’s Tennis electric scooter comes with a 1500W hub motor, which generates 157Nm of torque and offers a range of 130 km. It has rectangular twin projector LED headlights, 12-inch alloy wheels and TFT instrument cluster. The scooter weighs only 88 kg and is available in Snowflake White, Fire Fury Dark Red and Slate Grey.
Brixton Motorcycles: Power and Performance
Brixton has introduced 500cc and 1200cc bikes in the Indian market. This includes Crossfire and Cromwell series motorcycles.
Brixton Crossfire 500X
This retro roadster bike has been launched at Rs 4.74 lakh (ex-showroom). It has a 486cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine, which generates power of 47bhp and torque of 43Nm. The weight of this bike is 190 kg and it has a fuel tank of 13.5 liters. Apart from this, it includes features like Pirelli tyres, adjustable USD telescopic front forks, dual-channel ABS and LED lighting.
Brixton Crossfire 500XC
This is the scrambler variant of Crossfire 500X. Its price is Rs 5.19 lakh (ex-showroom). Same engine and features have been given in it.
Brixton Cromwell 1200
Brixton Cromwell 1200 is an advanced classic bike, which is priced at Rs 7.84 lakh (ex-showroom). It has a 1222cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, which generates 82bhp power and 108Nm torque. This bike is capable of giving a top speed of 198 km/hr. It has modern features like dual-channel ABS, wire-spoke wheels and KYB RSU suspension.
Brixton Cromwell 1200X
Cromwell 1200X, the scrambler variant of Cromwell 1200, has been launched at Rs 9.10 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes with the same engine, but it has been given fuel tank grip pad and special design.
Retro and electric segments will get a boost
The entry of Brixton and VLF has brought new options for Indian customers. While VLF focuses on electric scooters, Brixton is famous for retro styling and performance bikes. The partnership with KAW Veloce Motors will help these brands gain a stronger foothold in India.
